Rules of use

IN ORDER TO ENJOY THE TRAIL IN THE SAFEST AND MOST PLEASANT WAY, PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING RULES FOR THE OPERATION OF THE TRAIL

Access to the Barranco del Infierno trail is at the user’s own risk. Who will assume the risks inherent to the site.

  • Helmets are compulsory
  • For safety reasons, it is important to follow the instructions of the canyon staff or signage in order to enjoy the Barranco del Infierno safely.
  • The entrance ticket to the Barranco must be kept for the duration of your stay. The Barranco staff reserves the right to expel from the Park any person who is not in possession of a valid entrance ticket.
  • The entrance fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
  • Minors must be accompanied by adults.
  • Wear suitable footwear and bring spare drinks.
  • Be informed of weather conditions.
  • Do not enter in windy or rainy weather: danger of landslides.
  • Camping and overnight stay prohibited.
  • Stay on the main road.
  • Climbing, abseiling and canyoning are prohibited.
  • The collection of plants and/or animals is not permitted.
  • Littering is prohibited.
  • No fires or smoking.
  • The use of glass bottles and glasses is not permitted.
  • Pets are not allowed on the path that is the object of the service.
  • In the event of disturbance of order or non-compliance with the rules of operation, as well as the directives of the personnel assigned to the service, the offender or offenders will be removed by the personnel assigned to the service and, if necessary, by the officers of the Local Police of Adeje.
  • Bathing is not allowed in the gorge, nor in the waterfall.
  • The collection of mineral elements is prohibited.
  • The emission of amplified sounds is not permitted.
  • It is forbidden to offer food to wild animals living in the Barranco.
  • It is essential that visitors to the gorge take care with their personal belongings, as the management company cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft, robbery or damage that may occur during their stay in the gorge.

Without prejudice to the foregoing, the company also reserves the right to refuse admission to and expel from its premises, without the visitors thus expelled having any right to compensation, persons who seriously contravene the rules listed below or who are in the following situations:

  • Serious disturbance of order in the Park or on its premises or the commission of any offence or misdemeanour therein. Respect for others and for our environment is essential for a safe and pleasant stay.
  • Misuse of tickets (including fraudulent, misleading or bad faith use by the ticket holder and/or resale or counterfeiting of tickets). Only tickets purchased at authorised sales outlets will be valid.
  • Vandalism or damage to the facilities on the premises.
  • For behaviour that seriously disturbs or affects the enjoyment of other visitors.
